Having analyzed the text gives me some ideas about the piracy issue. First of all, I want to make clear the point is that piracy is especially used for the music and movie downloading, in the article, “Is Music Piracy Stealing “ , which is written by Charles W. Moore. The author discusses that the music piracy should be legal or not. In my opinion, downloading music and stealing music cds from a market is not the same thing obviously. Piracy is wrong ethically but it should be legal. I know that I do not behave respectful to the artists’ effort while getting music or movie from the Internet but it is not a crime like stealing something. In other words, piracy is not a pleasant thing in terms of ethics, however there is no choice for the people who can not afford to buy the cds. Another point to state is that genetically modified foods are very popular nowadays, but it is not a right thing in ethics as the author mentions. The government made a law which permits the biologist to modify the food legally in 1985. To modify the seeds is not an ethical behavior and when we compared it to piracy, first one disturbs the balance. The principal purpose is to gain more money; no one cares about the ethics. The big bros rule the world as they wish; they make laws which fit with their benefits. In short, we should not just look at the problem from one perspective. We should handle it from different point of views. As a matter of fact; we can decide which one is correct or not, only when we analyze the case from various angles of view. To sum up, piracy should be legal in this world where many illegal things are accepted as they are already legal. To conclude, piracy may be wrong ethically, however it should not be punished as if it is a serious crime.

I am not sure about your support for why it is okay to illegally download music. You say that people have to do it because they can’t otherwise afford the cds. If we apply that logic elsewhere then it is okay for people to do anything, steal anything, if they can’t otherwise afford it?
